Blended Learning

The CAS ELTV is one of the first continuing education programs at ETH Zurich that builds consistently on a blended learning philosophy, which has become the standard method in contemporary executive education.

Through a blended approach, the on-campus time is used to meet peers and the lecturers to discuss professional challenges and solutions and apply knowledge in interactive exercises.

In blended learning, the student prepares for sessions at home and comes to class, ready to share their knowledge in interactive discussions with an application-focused style of instruction.

Key Benefits

  • Study online from anywhere in the world: spend less time on-campus. This allows participants to easily combine the CAS with a full-time job
  • Study key knowledge components at your own speed
  • Retain knowledge better than through traditional lecturing
  • Used in-class meetings more effectively to discuss advanced issues and reflect on the material studied and prepared
  • Through interactive discussions, participants learn from each other and spend valuable on-campus time on building effective social networks

In order to facilitate individual learning and class preparation, we are using an innovative learning platform, specifically designed for online learning programs. More details about our INSENDI learning platform can be found here.
