ETH Zurich's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Lab shaping into a unique Deep Tech Accelerator

As the new CAS ELTV will be made available at subsidized rates to the ETH Pioneer Fellows, ETH is offering a contemporary and timely acceleration program unique in the Swiss Start-up Ecosystem.

Since 2011, ETH's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab hosts about 10 Pioneer Fellows each year who develop deep tech business ideas.

Switzerland hosts a range of start-up support programs, often funded in parts through InnoSuisse, Switzerland's premier innovation agency. While these programs have likely contributed to Switzerland's excellent position in innovation, many start-up training and accelerator programs offer one-size-fits all approaches and rely on seasoned practitioners only instead of harnessing the joint collboration between practice and research.

With the approval of the new CAS "Entrepreneurial Leadership in Technology Ventures" the ETH ieLab is now able to offer its Pioneer Fellows a unique program that combines practice-based coaching and mentoring with insights from research on technology ventures and entrepreneurship. Going beyond the successful adoption of important tools and methods, such as for example lean canvas models and agile business development, the collaboration with accomplished entrepreneurship researchers also led to a program that offers different thought models and insight into entrepreneurial strategy, which forms the backdrop against which smart entrepreneurs choose the right methods and tools to develop their business further.

The new CAS is a qualitative value add as part of the generous fellowship funding ETH offers its Pioneer Fellows.
