Admission Requirements

Core Requirements

  • A Master’s degree recognised by ETH, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates should be involved in the set-up and management of a technology-based venture, or else provide documentation of their strong interest and affinity to the CAS theme (e.g., professional trajectory in a technology-based corporation).
  • Candidates need to be fully proficient in English, ideally at C1 levels. (While we do not require proof by default, we do reserve the right to ask for an English language certificate should we find you struggle with the successful participation in the program due to language barriers.)

The CAS ETH ELTV requires high commitment and strong motivation by the individual participant. In particular, the self-study components will require personal time management, self-motivation, and tenacity.

Usually, the following on-campus time requirements applie throughout the year:

  • Block I: 5 x Thursday/Friday education
  • Block II: 1-2 days of peer-group exchange meetings (kick-off and second term), usually in conjunction with a knowledge module, and final project defense, which typically takes place on campus
  • Block III: 5 days of on-campus time for the Leadership Module, usually in conjunction with a knowledge module, with additional individual leadership coaching one-on-one.
  • Block IV: full-time one week of study trip

The CAS ELTV is a 15 ECTS program, which equates to about 420 hours of studies over the course of 12 months.
